Excerpt

A beautiful sixteen year old girl ran through the war torn, darkened streets of Karlsruhe, Germany. Ida had missed the city's imposed curfew. She held her coat tightly from the cold as she rounded the last corner. Ida was startled by a soldier who suddenly stepped out from the dark. The soldier's eyes roamed up and down her slender young body. He grabbed her and pulled her towards the cold, dark alley. Ida's life was forever changed.

What People Are Saying

“Many emotionally, physically, and sexually wounded people will find the road to healing and new life after reading this book. Iris' freedom to share the details of her past tragedies from her childhood, especially abuse from her father and mother, has resulted in this book which will be popularized through the years to bring many people from their tragedy to triumph and into a personal, saving relationship with Jesus Christ.”

“There is a technique that the Japanese use to repair broken pottery called Kintsugi, the Art of Repair. This is where they take broken pieces of pottery and put them back together with lacquer dusted with gold, silver, or platinum, making the piece of pottery much more valuable. Christ has done this for Iris' life. He took the broken and shattered pieces of her life, and made it more valuable. This is a must read Book! Anyone who has been abused mentally, physically or sexually, you will find that it is not your past that defines you, it is who you are in Christ.”

“I had no idea how God was going to impact my life by reading Iris Wainright's book. Very few books have a major impact on my life. Iris's gripping life testimony is such a book. I began reading it at 2:00 am and at 6:00 am; I reluctantly put it down to get some sleep. A few hours later, I got up and finished her book. I rejoice in the powerful results you will have in reading Iris's book.”

“It was Iris's relationship with her heavenly Father that empowered her to forgive the abuse of her earthly father. It takes great courage for Iris to write this Book to reveal her past abuse to everyone else. She knows her identity is not defined in her past but only by the life and power of a loving God to heal and set someone free.”
